तेरी भी चूप मेरी भी चूप

Its been always said world is a very small place, this is just an anticipation of the phrase.

Ever heard of Murphys Law " Anything which can go wrong, will go wrong, at wrong time", let me explain.

JOB a very important question in Life. Brings various emotions, no one is exception.

Everyone has a reason for JOB....Some love to do, some want to do & some have to do.

Working in a corporate firm is a challenge; People have entire time in the world to do things other than what they are hired for....Strange but ironically true.

So the term Switching Job is quite popular amongst public these days.

I was just having a normal day in Office, when I got a call from a friend informing @ a Walk-in-Interview in a well known firm.

Actually I never go for Walk-in-interviews as its just market survey (गट्टा मतदान scenario during any walk-in).

But the way my friend told me, the walk-in in other city was quite huge & very much appreciated by employees. More than thousand people had visit the venue on day & same was been expected other day.

As he informed me the same Walk-in-interview was to be conducted in my city in very next week. Just a thought in mind, नुस्त जाऊन तर येऊ आंबा पडला  तर पडला.

I was eagerly waiting for announcement of the Walk-in in news paper.

One thing @ Corporate life, never discuss any job related thing with any one in the organization, यहा दिवारो के भी कान होते हे

चूपचाप जाओ , Interview दे के आओ,,,Ssshhh...!!!

You Wont believe, what my Company has did with the newspaper,,,Earlier they were daily having times of India, but the Wednesday edition Ascent was always missing on all the company owned floors. Office boys were strictly instructed to vanish Ascent, coz company thinks that People might apply for jobs publish in the jobs page.

And one further step ahead they have blocked “News” permanently on the internet. Thanks to the internet world has become a local place, u can get the information these days in flick of time. So even though in the absence of newspaper, the Walk-in-Interview details were been circulated all over the place.

It was yet another weekend round the corner & suddenly there was a new @ the anticipated walk-in-interview. Mouth publicity is faster than speed of light (:)).

Within no time, the entire staff was talking @ the openings, the salary, the location & so on. I was also keen to know the details but was occupied by daily routine work.

Came to know from a friend that there were lot of relevant openings & we should try our chances. It was a Saturday, a day off, a breather & a sigh of relief. Relax time with family. But that wasn’t the case, Relatives sometimes visit you exact the time you dint want them to.

So here I was on the main road near my home waiting for my Wife’s relative. All I knew @ them was they are traveling in a car.

So I was just looking at each & every vehicle passing by.

Mean while I saw my Manager travelling right in front of me on his 2 wheeler with her mother on rear seat. I thought why was he dressed in white formal & that too on a Saturday, might be having some function so dint bother to call him.

By the time relatives had came. As they were travelling to there daughters place, they dint stay much in our home. After some break-fast they were on there way.

My friend called me & told that the walk-in-interview is pack house more than hundreds of candidates were there & still counting. I was in dual mind whether to go or not to go for the walk-in.

After having lunch, my friend called me again, forcing me to attain the walk-in. As my friend insisted, I got ready was there at the location in next half an hour.

As informed it was a pack house... Took around 5-10 minutes to park my bike. There were several counter (discipline specific), lot of people were in long queue. I was hoping someone from my office shouldn’t be around & must not see me.Coz if they do, there will be gossip around in the office & you know how it is in a so called corporate company, where people dont have time to do there work, but have entire time in the world to judge someone else’s work.

Formal wear for the Interview.
Just a Snap from other occasion
I completed all the formalities at the reception & was checking the people around.

I was very surprised, the position I had applied for, there were lot of aged & elderly people inline for the same position.

It was my first walk-in experience. There was a primary round of question & answers at 1st counter.

Done with it I went to next counter, where a very senior person was seating across the table to take the interview. Even this was a big hall, where, there were several people been interview at a time.

He asked me to seat. Interview started in typical fashion, starting from my background to my current job.

IRONY
The person interviewing me was jam of a technical guy, knowing small details of all engineering, so I had no scope of bluffing.

He asked @ my current role in the organization & the clients/ projects handled etc.

So I was @ to tell the name of the Project & I heard something unexpected...........!!!!

Someone was telling the same names of the project & client list as if someone is reading my mind.

I was surprised for a moment. I took a pause & turned to see who it was...................

BANG,,,,,the person seating beside me was my Senior & he was also there for interview.

I dint knew how to react; it was a very awkward moment.

I was asked “Reference Please", I called my Project manager & laughed out loud " इथंच reference देऊ काय".

He also dint expected me to be at the interview. He said he knew that he will meet someone from our company, but wished it shouldn’t be me...." कोण पण चाललं असतं पण तू नको as we share the same cabin in office...hahahaha

Post interview we had a big laugh.

The next day in office was silent.

Moral of the Story  " तेरी भी चूप मेरी भी चूप ".

नाग्या

Becoming a father is the greatest joy on earth, truly priceless. I do remember the day, the time & the very moment.

U see, it’s always shown in movies a red bulb outside the operation theatre, this bulb is there to see how fast your heart can pump & sometimes makes u miss a stroke as well.

I was waiting in the room, along with my mother & mother-in-law.

Just as we got the news from Sister, मुलगा झाला ,,,,,My mom was in tears.(Typical mother reaction) She hugged me so tightly.

The very moment I called my father (who although dint show his stress, but actually was), he was so happy about the news ( U know voice tells the emotion of person & I can feel that even he was in tears). He had kept the driver was on stand-by mode , the moment I called he was on his way.

Seeing the new born was just mesmerizing & I was happy to See Nilam-my wife smiling (Her smile said it all).

My mother was a Grandma & so was I Mama long time back, when I was 10th standard. I am blessed with 1 cute Niece & 2 mischievous Nephews.

So this was my parents 4th time of becoming Grand-parents.

As all do, Grand-parents share a very cute relation……its grand in every single way.

My mother had already decided the name for their grandson & so was he named "चिन्मय "

My mother said she always wanted to name the grandchildren name, but its different case with daughters children as there are some limitation.

But in this case, its my grandson & I have the final authority ( No one questions her, not even my father).

As I often write, Time as always runs by its pace, its just the situation makes us feel it being faster.

Chinmay was growing up with her mother & grand-parents in Kolhapur yes offcourse I was there but on weekends.

Sometime I wonder, we work to secure our future & waste our present in doing so......Is it worth....!!!

But that’s Life & that’s the way it is rt now.

Chinmay after some consultation with my parents is with me these days in Pune.

We wear Same EAR RING: Like Father like Son

And also joined play school as well.

I visit Kolhapur every alternate weekend, just to have quality time with family & more importantly my parents wish to see Chinmay.

Since college days, I have a habit to call home if m getting late & since the day m working a call just after having lunch & before bed.

Now Chinmay has joined the party, He talks with everyone for a long time now.

Chinmay is very mischievous kid ( all parents thing the same about there child ).

He is been called by a different name by everyone.

  • Pappa calls him नाग्या
  • Mother calls him गम्पा
  • My sister calls him बाबु & Elder sister calls him चंपाकुळी .
But Chinmay has done a reverse way, now he calls them by the name they use to call him.

It has become there identify now as wherever Chinmay goes tells everyone his आजी आजोबा & आत्या name.

His favourite बड-बड rhyme was"

"खबडक खबडक घोडोबा
घोड्यावर बसले लाडोबा
लाडोबाच लाड करतंय कोण
आजी आजोबा आत्या दोन  "

Often son is compared with parents for his looks but in Chinmays case, he has a Body figure (बांधा ) exactly like his grand father.

Same wrist, same shoulders, same tummy and so on,,,,, 8 out of 10 say Ekdam Senior Yadav looks.

Also Chinmay has a habit of holding his hand backwards like my father does.

Its total chaos when we have all the sibling all together.

So I was telling @ Chinmays telephonic skills, he has hands-on Tab with multi-tasking additional enhancement.

When I call back home, he daily talks with Aaji Ajoba using a head-phone.

Tells them a lot a stories & so on.

It was a Sunday night & I was on phone with my father, when Chinmay ran to me & said I want to talk to Naagya.

He said "नाग्या उद्या मला school ला सोडायला Skoda घेऊन ये...!!!"

Dont know why he said so, but kept on telling the same to my father.

I told him Skoda is out for servicing &  will be coming back home after 2 days.

Chinmay listened & reacted as if he knew I was lying & he smiled & said "नाग्या उद्या ये मी झोपतो आता...!!!"

Well it was a routing talk then with my parents. I usually sleep late night after listening stories from Chinmay.

Next day Monday bluessssss.....No one wanted to leave the Bed.

Chinmay is not an early riser (like me :)), it takes lot of efforts to get him ready & make him drink a glass of milk.

Like every day Nilam was ready with My Tiffin by 9am & Chinmay was, like he always does having some fun before he goes to school.

At 9:00am I got a call from my father,,,, Strange for me as he never calls so early.

He said " चिन्मय ची शाळा किती वाजता असते ९ का ९:३०....???

I replied 9:30 why what happened....... He was like " बरा आहे चा ठेव मी आलोय पुण्याला, खाली आहे पार्किंग मध्ये आलोच...!!!

I was like,,,,,,Goose bumps was the feeling & dint knew what to say, I called Nilam & said Pappa have came to Pune just to drop Chinmay to school.

He came home & Chinmay ran to him & said "नाग्या Skoda आणलास काय.....!!!!"

Chinmay with his beloved Skoda

My father had came all the way from Kolhapur to Pune- 250 kilometers just to drop Chinmay to school which is hardly 200 meters from my apartment.

This is what grand parents love is all about

Chinmay was so Happy that his Naagya has came & he will be droping him in Skoda to School.

My father had planned some work as he was in Pune & immediately left my home.

I call my mother, " पप्पांचा काय विषय .?? She repiled " चिन्मय म्हणला नाग्या Skoda घेऊन School ला सोडायला ये,,,,,पप्पा लगेच सकाळी उठून ५ ला Starter मारला Skoda चा ".

Chinmay had a very good day & in the evening when all children gather to play, he was telling all,
 माझे पप्पा अल्ते Skoda घेऊन मला School ला सोडायला ....!!!!!

Chinmay calls me "बाबा" & Nilam "आई  " & just because I call my parents Mummy-Pappa so does he.

My father was back home even before I reached home from office.

So here is a Grand father who travelled all the way 250 kilometres & 4 hours to drop his Grand-son to school to full fill his grandsons wish.

I Had heard this before a lot of times before , but today knew what it meant:

Grand parents are the one with Silver in there Hair & GOLD in their Heart.

O Gd Nts Ha

Viru ne kaha he "Life is like a Race! If you don't run fast you will be a BROKEN ANDAA!!" & yes it true. There is race every where, bhaag rahe he sab, but running in life is more fun when you have friends around.

This small write-up is for a friend, who in known by the name "DON".

Like the social media, we often have lot of mutual friends, I fondly call them as "मित्रा चा मित्र चुलत मित्र", this is how our so called friend circle increases.

Philosophers say, if you are friends with someone for more than 7 years, then your friendship will be forever, so m counting each & every friend of mine to be with me forever " हम आखिर तक जाने वालो मेसे हे ".

Coming back to DON, I really don’t know the story behind name "DON", but he was introduced to me as DON, Since then Don is part of my daily life.

I don’t know since when M friends with Don, but have known him before marriage & also before he was using Blackberry & Nokia phone J.

Don is like a happy go lucky person & centre of contact of all known friends as he is stationed in Kolhapur. So its like if anything goes in & out of Kolhapur, Don is always updated.

I have been working in Pune since many years now & have habit of travelling Pune-Kolhapur-Pune every weekend. It seems like a hectic schedule to travel all weekends but that two days spent with friends & family is like oxygen to me, which helps me survive next 5 days. I believe Staying away from Kolhapur is harmful to health.

Traveling from Pune to Kop, was repeat telecast-like a action reply on every Friday,
Same time same bus same route same situation & same old story.

I remember some phrase said by Einstein @ Relativity, my similar definition is
"A day spent in Pune is like a Week to me & a Week spent in Kolhapur is like a Day to me".

The difference is because of my friends & family. I don’t know @ any other place but the specialty of Kolhapur & Kolhapur people is, There is one person who will be travelling but to see-off (Say good bye) him the whole group is always ready.

" दुल्हे के साथ पुरी बारात आती हे "

I am lucky enough to have such friends who are always there to drop me by on busy Sundays.

DON is one of those friends, Don’t know why, don’t know how, don’t know from when , but whenever I travel from Kolhapur to Pune,

Don always drops me at the bus station. The unusual thing is he doesnt stay near my home, he is stationed a bit away , almost near the bus station: But he is always there every Sunday night sharp @ 11:00pm at my door step to drop me irrespective of the season may there be rain, cold or what ever.

Just want to thanks DON for being there & being a Savior.

Another funny little thing which i relate with DON, is the daily messages without fail each & every day dont know from when but,

Ø      Message for Morning: O Gd Mrngs ha

Ø      Message for Afternoon:  O Gd afternoons ha

Ø      Message for Night : O Gd Nts ha

Today in this whatsapp-age messaging has gone to next level, but we are traditional type people, believe in proper messaging.

I do-not sleep before sending a "O Gd nts Ha" message to DON & the first thing I do in morning is to message DON "O Gg Morning ha".

Sometime I might not reply to someones Good night message but I will never forget to message DON, Its an orthodox type & good luck charm.

I am not Lucky, I m just blessed to have Awesome people in my Life. Good Friends & Caring Family is a true Blessing.

So to sum it up, who ever you are & whenever you are reading this post its Don style "O Gd mrngs Ha," O Gd afternoons ha" & "O Gd Nts ha".
